thought i'd share a five minute upgrade using the std L.E.D and a piece of evergreen styrene tube held together with glue and heatshrik tubing forgot to mention the data cable(fibre optics) from an old C.d player
to take the light from the L.E.D to the front

Clear stretched sprue works good for fiber optic cable. You can make different lengths and diameters depending on how long you heat and how fast you stretch the heated sprue. And best of all it's free I save the plastic trees the parts come on from model kits and there is clear prue from canopy trees

Great idea! I am missing my "fiber optics" in my Persh and haven't been able to swallow the money Tamiya wanted for a replacement. I am going to rummage through the junk box for some clear sprue.

Great Idea with the fiber-optic for the gun, very realistic affect.I'm going to try that on my bigger scale tank because it has a good sized machine gun on the turret and a fiber cable through the barrel will work great. Good job and great in-fo BIGMIG

If anyone needs fiber optics this site has a sampler kit with many sizes and lengths in one kit, that will give you more cable then you will need for many tank mods. they ship all over the world and they shipped to me for about 2.50 USD. They also sell LEDs in any color and size. A small company but have a lot of product. http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/Kits.htm
