They break just like the real ones! Make sure you have a soldering iron handy before your Pershing arrives! The switch for the smoker is in the battery compartment on the Pershing.

I'll have to check out the switches on mine...has never worked since I got it....but then, Mato used a screwdriver on me. the smoker wasn't even mounted...just laying there and no tubes to the exhaust mounted....or present. I had a pair from a Pz III and put those in and drilled the holes in the rear to the exhaust. Considering they put in the metal gear box, and obviously did not test run it, as it is binding...they sure didn't check anything before they reassembled it and shipped it out. Nothing is right with this one. Looks like they just mount the gearbox, throw it together and send it out.

never known the smokers to break the tank, but they are quite troublesome and drag the battery run time down a bit.So i personally am going to try the fan assisted version as the one on the tanks and trolls website
a nice conversion and much quieter than the pump

I know the smoker works on my Tiger, but I never have it turned on.
Like FV says,it hammers the battery ans cuts down your run times.

are hobby engine tanks any good compared to heng long. i really want a leo or abrams but i want a tank that has engine sounds and is 1/16 scale for about £50-£100 i can get a henglong m26 for £72.

The on-off switch of the smoke unit is well hidden inside the battery comparment. Take the battery lid off and careful look inside and you should find this switch. The smoke unit in the recently received M26 has been reduced the battery consumption, so the amount of smoke coming out is just barely see it, because of that the smoke unit seems lasts longer.

What I meant was that the tanks break in general. However, I once had a smoker that melted inside a Pershing, I got a little curious when smoke started coming out of the engine grates on the rear deck. It nearly caught fire after melting, I caught it just in time to prevent the heat from melting the rear hull of the tank. That woulda required some fabrication to fix! Woulda been a good excuse to make an M46 out of it!
