Saturday we had our first battleday at a Hobby store, setup by Dennis and the owner Greg. We would get a chance to recruit and he would get people buying tanks and RC units. Dennis has the pics and he did a great job on the town and special effects. The smoke machine and a running audio CD of background battle noise , distant artillery, rifle fire, a/t guns and other assorted noises you'd find on a battlefield except the cries of the dying which at a family hobby store would have been out of place. We even got Greg to take command of the Tiger I for some combat time, he seemed to really enjoy it. I have to say I am getting better at piloting the Sherman, for the first time I was able to out manuever the Tiger I and get some hits using the Shermans small size to advantage. I also brought my HL Sturmpanzer III and Matorro Sturmtiger, the pzIII still runs flawless and the Sturmtiger has a range of about 10ft and really needs its guts ripped out. The Tam Sherman ran great and even though it crashed into many walls, bridges, dragon teeth nothing broke and it ran great all day.
