Default Jagdpanther conversion kit

There is an 'official' Jagdpanther conversion kit for the Heng Long Tiger and Pantiger from Imperial Modellbau.

It looks fine, but It's unclear if you have to keep the (larger) lower hull of the HL or not (which would spoil the final result, imho).

Looks like its made to fit the heng long lower hull. Not that it would stop a lot of people as it has the stand off look, but it would want to be cheap. Hopeing Heng Long revisit this Tank in the future, to scale it properly. Who knows ; now tamiya has a mold ; Heng Long might copy it

Sigh. Everyone was saying how Heng Long copied Tamiya with the tiger blah blah... their proof was that they have the pins for the aftermarket metal hull hatches like Tamiya -- mine doesnt and mine is earliest revision so that kinda puts that one to rest.

EDIT: Oh, and the Bulldog.... where did they get that? Glencoe you say? *laugh* if only you could see the differences. Panzer III? Oh.... right

Like many have said, if Heng Long put out a VVSS Sherman, the battle would be won

That Jagdpanther conversion is made for the Hen Long Panther. Better looking than the Pantiger!

HenG Long could do a lot for themselves if they would put on their business hat and make available a couple desired tanks. (Sherman other than the dumb 105mm, Brit Crusader or Matilda and a Pz IV.) If they did this, and tweaked the electronics, they could sew up a big part of the market. Not difficult to make changes and improve accuracy, but it really would be nice if they were that way to begin with.

I think with Heng Long you get a heck of a lot for the money (and RTR), and the details are just fine for the money spent -- apart from the "oversized" couple (Bulldog, Pantiger) the rest are easy fixed.

This kit costs about 400 USD + the cost of hen long.
Wouldn't it be more reasonable to buy Tamiya Jagspanther?

Yes it would, but if you are like many who bought the HL Pantiger and thought you were getting a REAL Panther tank, now is your opportunity to correct their obvious mistake and flaw to make a more historically correct tank.
