Ordered first TAMIYA Tank
#1
Well just could not stand it any longer, ordered my first Tamiya tank. It's a 1/35 Russian 734/76 '43 tank.Thought the forum needed a new build project to breath some life back into it.While waiting for it's arrival will be checking out the paint combo's used on this tank.
Will try to post pictures of the build. BIGMIG [:-][:-][:-]

You should post a 1/35th build on a modelers forum. This is for R/C tanks, mostly 1/24th scale and up.

I haven't seen any 1/35 T-34's that are RC, motorized yes (backwards/forwards), but not RC. IF you convert a non-RC to RC you'll have problems, mostly with the 1-piece joined rubber links and polycaps popping off.

Guys--Doesn't Takara make R/C tanks smaller than 1/35 --anybody remember PzWest's link to the video of a 1/144 tank crawling around on a 1/16 Tiger?

Personally I'd like to hear about any tank build be it RC or Static because the principles behind painting. weathering, detailing are the same across the board whether it moves or not, so these techniques can be useful for all.

PapaTron has a point if, if they are doing some modeling on it and its an RC tank then we might get some ideas. I don't want this to turn into a tiny tank site, but modeling ideas are across the board. I think that there are enoght of interested in diecussing the lager tanks that a few other tanks might inspire us to build those from scratch into the 1/16th scale! And from reading some of the post out there many of the 1/16th and 1/12th guys might as well have static models!
