Alright this may sound dumb but I am looking for some pictures and info of the 105 in combat. I want to buy a Tamiya Sherman and I really like the way the 105 looks as opposed to the other models produced but when even I look for pics all that pops up on search engines is the Tamiya kit. What gives?
I also have a question about using my DX7 2.4 in the tank. How is the computer boards controlled using the seven channels. From what I have read, the MF03 is looking for the trim to be al the way up before the tank shifts in gear in order to move. Does this happen with the guys using the DX6's? Or are the able to run the turret on one channel, the barrel elevate on another, fire with a switch, and drive with 2 channels? Sorry if that all sounds dumb but I want to know what I am getting in before I drop the cash on a tank. Thanks.

Here's all I have of a HVVS 105mm M4 Sherman. One looks as though it's from Korea with the flame thrower along side the 105 and the other is just a file photo.

I'm sure a few books will help. Not alot of HVSS 105 photos out there, but more of the VVSS version.

If you have not read this thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6313116/tm.htm read it, it's long but has lots of info on the Sherman 105. There is not that much that I found to read about the 105 in battles. Here is a couple of pics, can you tell which one is real and which one is a Tamiya?

Thanks for that guys! The picture of the Israeli 105 is the coolest. I would love to do something like that when I get one. I will be sure to read that thread.

Hi
The New Vanguard book on the Pershing has a couple of pictures from Korea of M4A3105 operating with Marine M26s. Can't see much of the suspension (front and rear views only) so I'm only guessing it is HVSS. The link below has some pictures of the remains of one that is HVSS.

Hi Geoff. Pages 40 and 42? Yes they are HVSS 105 Sherman's. Excellent book for reference material on the M26 Pershing and the M46 Patton.

Yes, those pages. Thanks for the confirmation. Already having the Sherman, it was interesting to see it in conjunction with the Pershing that I'm aiming to get next. Maybe a 1/16th Korean war diorama calls .... but I doubt it, my modelling skills are not up to it

I just installed the DX6 in my Sherman. Everything worked fine. I use the trim tabs per the instructions to fire both the main and machine guns. I have programed the DX6 in my Tamiya Tiger to use a toggle switch to fire the main gun and not have to mess with the trims in combat - as shown on the DAK site. Here is a link to Doug Sharpe's article

The Pershing is the tank that require you mess with the trims before it will move. Nice safety feature so you don't "fly" your tank off the work bench. I haven't put a Spektrum radio in it yet.
