I just got my first tank. Well, actually my parents got it for me as an apartment warming type of thing. It's a 1/24 M1A2 Abrahams VSPro with IR. Already ran it and I am hooked. Just have to find an airsoft mechanism for it now. The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that it uses 8 AA batteries in the tank(thank goodness for rechargeables). One thing on it, how well do the stock rubber tracks hold up? Thanks.
P.S. If only I could charge all 8 AA's at once, I guess 4 at a time will do for now.

ha! your hooked now! if you love that little guy, look for the 1:16 brothers. I don't have one of those so I don't know how long the treads will last.
also make sure you have some good rechargeables!

Toyeast carries the replacement parts to convert the hardware for airsoft. I do not know if the same controller will work, you will have to ask around on that one. Maybe the tank will work with the airsoft controller, not sure.

I just took a peak at the insides(batteries still chargeing), and I will most likely have to change receivers out as a minimum for airsoft operation. But, if I am going to do that, I will go through my parts bin and make it full proportional with the airsoft(have to love never throwing away spare parts).
If only my wallet would let me go 1/16, or wallet and space for 1/6(a guy can dream right).
As far as being hooked, I'm not quite sure that that is a strong enough term. Ran it on ice, powdery snow, asphalt, concrete, and carpet and I still can't get enough of it.
