Default Sherman experts required...Help

Hello everybody...I'm just trying to figure out how to paint the rear light lenses on my Tamiya M4 105...Do I paint the inside section or outside and how do you paint with that much accuracy on a part that is so small..I'm using Tamiya clear red and flat black..Please help I don't want to make a mistake and make a mess...

Thanks

Paint on the outside before assembly. Left lense paint the top half clear red, bottom half flat black with the inlays painted clear red.

Right lense paint all flat black except for the bottom inlays clear red.

This according to the Tamiya instructions.

Hi it don't matter what way you go...I think i did mine from the inside and if you use flat black use it on the outside so it stays flat.

Inside, I used a sharp tooth pick and dabbed it in, do a couple of coats as it will wash out and not be red enough when lit.
