Default Some advice on purchasing needed.

Hi all,

I am a new poster here, but have been lurking and reading for a while. Anyways, I am interested in purchasing some of the Heng Long genre of 1/16 tanks. Just curious as to where the Americans here do there shopping for the tanks, and the upgrades?

Any help you can offer would be very appreciated.

Thanks.

Pretty good shipping....about 2 weeks to arrive after ordering.

I haven't placed an order from mato in a while and I'd bet Christmas has lowered there stock but read more about what you are interested in and what mods you might want to do and by the time your set they will have what you want. Have fun.

Guys:

I was told the Super'd (metal gearbox & metal track) Bulldogs will be in by Feb at the latest. I have a reserve on one.

Why MATO is one of the only (certain Aus-based one does too *cough*hobbyhavoc*cough*) retailer that buys them pre-fitted with metal gearbox I don't know, as its literally only a couple of dollars more when buying direct from the factory.

Sure, metal introduces another possible problem (need to be broke-in for proper performance) it also takes away another problem, the slipper-clutch. I have all 3 - original orange-geared plastic w/o clutch, white plastic w/clutch and metal (w/o clutch) -- the clutch can kick in a ridiculous amount of times on a Pershing, due to the rear sprocket managing to pickup every piece of junk on loose ground.

Thanks so much for the replies. I ordered an M26 from Mato. Hope to see it next week sometime.

Anyways, I am also interested in purchasing a Tamiya Panther. Any suggestions for that other than Ebay?

Thanks again.

Congratulations on you M26, for the Tamiya you might try www.stellamodels.net it will come from Hong Kong buy there good to deal with. Other then them I got my Tamiya King Tiger and Sherman from the hongkong cowboy on e-bay, it was the best price I could find and went very smooth.
