i got a torro KT and a HL tiger. swapped the torro crystal hoping it would run on the HL control unit and it did not. Put the original crystal back & now my HL tank won't run

one more thing, i'm new to tank rc so please bear with me. does the S&S (my tiger) tank use a 4 channel crystal?

Welcome to the ever expanding & addicting RC tank world! There are actually up to 7 different crystal sets you can get for the HL 27mHz FM channel! 4 from HL and RED HAWK has the same four plus an additional 3 other within that band for a total of 7!

ah, what mizuinu is probably thinking is that he has a S&S sound and the receiver has a # on it. HL uses 1-4 for the smoke and sound. the non smoke and sound use 27, 40 and 49 mhz and each has 3 selections on the tanks and receivers. I would either order some from the previously mentioned place or order some from mato. http://www.matotoys.com/canada/
