I have made a collage of 46 Tiger II camouflage schemes taken from a russian site.
May it be inspiration for repainting the matorro KT and introducing some variety in your tank garage (I haven't ordered mine yet, but I'm already gathering documentation).
Oh, btw, the original site is
http://tiger-ostpanzer.nm.ru/camouflage.htm
Edit: since RCuniverse seems to resize the pictures (the original one is about 2500x2500 pixels), I put a link to imageshack:

All those Kts, and not a hint of that Matorro pink anywhere lol
Great find Borealis, thanks
Ps - whats up with the red 'toadstool' scheme (row 5 column 3)? Ive never seen anything like that on a German tank before, looks like its commander was on mushrooms [X(]

Maybe Matorro's pink was inspired by those King Tigers with green and brown paint over the basic red primer.
But that is not compatible with a zimmerit-coated tank, since the red primer is under the coat.
I have read that late in the war in Kassel, where the Henschel factory was, the tank crews went directly to the factory to get their tank, which was painted with some rough spots of green and brown over the red primer, and wasn't even complete with all accessory parts such as the side mud guards.

See a lot of dark yellow/green/purple paint schemes floating about, I think they went with that and just got the tone "wrong". Like all Matorro tanks (well the KT and the Sturmtiger) - the paint is a little jazzier than what "was".

I like row 4 column 2,! And I also like Row 6 column 2, this scheme might work well in the Desert and the forest?[sm=idea.gif]! This is such a cool chart, I am so glad that the KT has all these color schemes, [sm=teeth_smile.gif]I never liked that spotted camo mix......[:'(]

Ok, with all of these colors and camo, does anybody know what color did the KT
have fresh out of the factory?
Someone mentioned the Tiger 1s came off the plant with german gray then
was change to desert yellow.
How about the KTs? Did they came in desert yellow too? Was zimmerit applied to
from the factory?

Great find borealis!!! I wish I had this info a few weeks ago! It would have saved me a bunch of time.
I repainted my Matoro KT. I did KT #211 of Schwere SS-Panzer Abteilung 501. I made my own decals from the original stickers of the 506. I will try to post some pics this weekend.

Borealis you got them right, but I had written them wrong,[&:] I liked both you pulled up, but my first choice is the row 6 column 2 and the second choice is row 7 column 2, but its a tough choice, there are some really cool color schemes![sm=tongue_smile.gif] I like both Bullyhys and caragon 1070 also, I am just leaning towards my two picks becuase I think I can actually paint them ,and the two main places I battle, they seem like they could be somewhat effective camo![sm=punching.gif]
