Well with the world as our stage, it has to be Sunday night somewhere, so I am starting the thread a little early. Here is your chance to give the forum a shot in the arm and post a picture of what you have been working on. Tank detailing, weathering, electronics upgrades, battlefields, buildings, etc. We all want to see stuff and get motivated to do more. I personally would like to see some pictures of 1/16 scale buildings. I want to start building a street, as I have some space marked off in the yard for a small urban battleground. So show us what you have been busy doing in this hobby.

I had really good success finishing the inside of my Panther to a level I had never done before. Now I am going back and redoing all my tanks. This week I worked on my Pershing. The electronics tray has slide rails for a DBC battle circuit and sound module. I blew a transister when I tried wiring in an additonal flash LED. David is sending me a replacement along with another complete DBC for the tiger I have coming. He also gave me the proper solution to make a flash LED work with his DBC.

Also note the antenna design I copied from Pzrwest. This works great and gets rid of that antenna connection to the top half. Of course the rear deck antenna on my Pershing is gone now!!!

Also note the bobble head gunner. I just push his head down and over to the side, allowing me to close the hatch

The heat sinks in this install had a hole drilled in them. I then backed out the screws from the stock heat sink, and retightened them threading the screw into the additional heat sink. There wasn't enough clearance to just stick them on the top.

Looks good and thanks for posting. Why don't you add a link to your thread in your SNFF post. That way SNFF works like an index for those that are surfing through.

The photo angle on your Panther is great. I don't think you did any mods to it, but from the picture angle it really looks like a Panther. Can't say I have ever seen a stock Panther photograph so well.

I'd like to post some pic's soon. Just some weathering to my Sherman to do before the metal bits arrive for my PZIII. Then sourcing a suitable "Poster/Backdrop" to make my pic's more interesting. I was thinking of a woodland scene or even a French village scene to act as a backdrop.
Anybody got any ideas on sourcing Backdrops/Posters.
YHR do you use additional lighting for your pic's and if so could you let me know what lights you use i.e. spots or floods or both.

many thanks

These pictures were taken in my paint booth. A florescent bulb is the overhead light in the booth and then I have a very bright photolight that I bounce off the ceiling to supply the fill lighting. I then run it through photosoftware to adjust the colors. Most times I have to remove a little blue hue and add a little red.

ahhhhh now I see it. Kind of looks like a coffee table

That is a good point to bring out though. You can buy foam core poster board from Micheals and place it behind your tank. That helps focus the attention on the model without all the background stuff.

Still don't let a busy background stop anyone from posting. SNFF is all about volume!!!!!!!! The more picutres the better. THink of it as your picture posting primer. So lets see what else people have out there to show us.

Nice Tiger weathering!

After 14 hours of weathering today my Tiger project is complete! Well as complete as they ever are! Got up at 5, went to the executive conferance room to go over 501 Tiger pictures, got the work area prepped and fired up the compressor at 0600!

Here's a quick pic, come on over to my [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6582316/anchors_6582316/mpage_1/key_panzerkampfwagen/anchor/tm.htm#6582316]Build[/link] and check out the rest of today's pics. Give me a few minutes to post!

Reworked the rear deck of my Tamiya Sherman to make it resemble the postwar Canadian M4A2(76)W HVSS -- all details scratchbuilt. Paint still a bit spotty, much more detail to be added yet! (Used a little "modeller's licence" on that engine grille.)

Still have to change the turret to a T-23, but it's a "start"...!

On my KT, I did some minor touch ups. I made some repairs to faulty wiring (my wiring, that is...) that sidelined it during the last battleday. I took it out and it runs great now. This week, I'm going to make some stencils and paint the vehicle numbers and Balkankreutzs on the sides of the turret.

On my wife's Tiger 1, I made a few repairs, (added right rear metal mudflap after old one got tore off) and did some touch up with the air brush. It has been a while since the last touch up (6 months and 4 battledays). It was pretty beat up.

As to the Pershing, I tore pretty much all the accessories off the turret exterior, filled and sanded the mold line in the turret (I didn't do that when I built it, and have always regretted it), I repaired some cosmetic damage from the last battle, and then repainted the entire turret. I also tore some accessories off the hull deck (ammo cans, etc.) and touched it up. Accessories had to go, as they just get tore off during battledays. I joked to my wife, that if that tank ever got out of control and ran away, I could track it by simply following the trail of parts...

Still waiting for a replacement parts tree previously ordered from Tamiya to replace the main hatch and cupola on Pershing. Tamiya did inventory from Jan 1 to Jan 18, and should start shipping this week. As I was working on the turret Sunday, I noticed that one of the two turret ring attachment screws had fallen out and the other was loose. Turns out that the turret ring was broken. I'll be ordering one of those too. Too bad Tamiya doesn't combine orders...sigh... I should be ready for the next battleday though.

As to future projects, I've recently bought a set of roadwheel bearings for a future Panther project. Still collecting parts before I buy a kit.

That's an up-to-date for me.
