Default Slow progress with PZIII

Hi Gents...Been a bit quiet on the building front recently. I've got a bad case of "tennis elbow". Funny really I haven't played tennis since I was a kid. It's probably many years of Blues/Rock guitar playing catching up on me. Anyway the "Voodoo" doctors have been Zapping my arm with Ultrasound and are jibbering about Acupuncture next if there's no improvement. So here's hoping everything goes ok.
Back to the PZIII...A bit of base coating to the sides and not much else to report. Other than I haven't heard from Tankzone re the boards sound failing I've emailed Pugwash re some Rx13's he's got for sale, so I might go for those. I was hoping for some RX14's but they are twice as much money.

That's just about it for now Gentlemen.

Nick

Nice job! What is the difference between RX13 and 14 anyway?

Thanks Pal...In respect of function, I'm not sure. I was led to believe that they were a bit more robust/reliable. The RX14's also have more plug-in connectors for the motors I think.

The RX 14s have a FET board and the RX13s are transistors which if you get em hot enough will blow
which is why the need to turn over the board andput a bigger heat sink in and or a fan
Nice job on the PZIII Nick
Hope your Elbow gets better

fv32 thanks for your best wishes. I've had a pm from PattonCommander, He's had similar arm problems and has suggested some useful things that should help.
Back to the tank and it's boards...No reply from Tankzone where I bought it. But I've had a reply from Pugwash. He's got some RZ13's for £13.50 full set. I'm going to order those from him and get my PZIII working properly. I also bought a 40mm PC Fan and will wire that up to the main switch. Hopefully this time I won't have any electrical problems.
When everything is sorted out I can then continue with my paint job. I'm still wondering what pattern I should use. I've got the paints...Green and Red Oxide to spray over the Desert Yellow. Should I go with a "Nick Roberts" hybrid pattern or has anybody got a specific pattern that I could use ?.

Let me know Gents.

Nick

Go for a hybrid Gets my vote
as nothing was really standard and all the prints we have to go on are artists impression nothing solid
read a report somewhere that said during the later part of the war the germans were issued paint and had to thin it down with any liquid they could find that said you can only guess at the variation in colour[X(][X(][X(]
