I just buy this set from Axels in Germany. It a porsche turret to my King Tiger 1:16, it missing the gun mantlet, but, anyone have the manuels to build this turret in pdf or picture. I need this to see, what it is missing.[sm=confused.gif]

I have the King Tiger Henschel manuels, but can't use it with Porsche turret. Do some one have the manuels from Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger Porsche STATIC set. ?

Here are some plans for the mantlet/barrel beginning, you may need to print out to check scale against your turret, print and build a quick mockup using paper then perhaps build it from styrene or even thing sheet metal once its all worked out.

If no one offers up a manual, try this work around solution.

3. Once you know the parts numbers for sure for your missing turrret parts go to Tamiya USA. They still stock some of the RC KT Porsche Turret plastic parts.

4. I turned a static Porsche KT into a DMD, sound, battle unit runner with Willy's big motors, Daryl Turner braces and Willy's gear reduction units and I used the HL Pz3 turret elevation motor (2 springs pulling down, not up), the motor plugs right into the DMD with a plug change, but skipped the recoil mod. Used a separate ESC to drive the turret (using the old Tamiya Turret rotation unit, still sold at Tamiya USA) and sync'd it with a Y Cord to the DMD/receiver cables for sound. Tank club members thought those solutions were cheating (fast turret rotation). The tank at 8 hits could still drive away from an engagement. So, I sold the tank along with the manuals and built the Panther G. This time I won't let them look inside any of my tanks.

Just got mail from Bob ETO Armor , He will look through his old parts to see if he have the items. I will return tomorrow with some news.
A shop in germany hobby direckt has a new set (0443172), now sure it is a porsche turret with the missing mentlet, he gets a mail from me in 5 or 6 min.

Btw, just wonder, is the top deck of teh henschel and teh porche teh same? I was under teh impression that if you convert to teh porche turret you need to change teh top deck too.

I believe you're right Planedev, and am equally as unsure on what is different between the two upper decks.

No, it not the same, some parts will do from Henschel to Porsche.

Hi, The decks are the same between the 2 kits, the difference is the turret ring riser and the guides the turret sits atop and rotates upon.

I thot so, coz there is a porche turret KT in my group and it look ed different from the KT my other club member had. Thanks for clarification

Hello Danish Commander , Thank you for the pictures . Just the info i was looking for . Besides the turret i believe there are two sprues - D - 9003381 and G - 0003475 - that are in the Tamiya Porsche KT kit which have the rest of the parts needed for the conversion . Regards .
