Thats the one I use on my Tamiya Leopard 2A6 and it works a treat. I dont have the TBU though but dont see why that would make any difference.

It's a fine radio to use, but if you are to use it for just one tank, the Futaba 4YF-FM is what I use and might be a little cheaper. This link said it's for 'park flyer use', so make sure you get a ground frequency.

Soulfly3,
I'd take a very close look at that radio before you purchase it. It appears to be a 72mhz setup on channel 38 (72.550mhz), which in the U.S. is for "air use" only. You'll need a surface frequency radio to go with such as a 27mhz, 50mhz, 75 mhz, or a 2.4ghz radio. 75mhz or 2.4ghz is what most use. Here's a handy chart to sort out frequencies and channels [link]http://www.easyrc.com/radiosystems/radiosystems5.html[/link]

Good luck with your Sherman
Once you get your tank up and running, don't forget to come check us out! Our club run tank battles with Tamiya and other tanks. We are probably within about 30 minutes from your location.
If you get a chance, we are trying to do some demos at RCX at the Fairplex on April 19th & 20th.
