Hey BigMig,

Speaking of that hummer,,,,now this is a humbling question for me, the electronics guy How do you trigger that rapid fire gun, I I have taken the voltage reading off of the Hummer and nothing special that I could tell,,, if I remember right it was like 6 volts, how come I could not get it to fire off of a tanks BB firing voltage? Is it pulse driven any ideas on that BIG?

The Blitz

Hello Blitz---
The gun in those humvee's draw to much juice for a HL board, the HL board can't supply enough power to fire these guns."At least this was my experience".I think (It's been a while since I did these, and I'm getting "OLD"you know--LOL[:-])these operate on
9.6 volt battery. If you was to look up the build I did on the hummer with the HL controls I use a switch triggered by a turret mottor that could give a spurt of BB fire or continuose fire until you ran out of BB'b or give it a command to stop shooting. The wires to the gun can be wired to fire this gun with the standard HL battery pact.I connected the hot leg from the gun to the battery connector wire
(soldered these). Then the negative wire from the gun to a on and off switch and then on to the switch that is operated by the turret motor and gear and on to the negitive wire on the battery connector.)hope you can figure out my meaning). The turret motor used to fire the gun is now operated by the fire control from the HL board just like you was shooting a HL tank.If you need further explanation let me know. BIGMIG

NOTE should make this a little clearer on one point.==the wires from the gun are connected to the internal plug that the battery plugs into---They are not connected to the battery leads themselves. BIGMIG

Thanks BIG,

I think i get it, i may have to read it over a few times but it makes sense to me! Heck I may want to turn one of these tanks into a yard patrol and that gun spits out the BB''s at a very high rate at least mine does!!!

OK you want to hear something funny,,, I just received and e-mail saying,,,,,,

LOL?! Maybe they should break some more tanks?!

I would assume that the fact they're 'out of stock' of defective products is a GOOD thing no?!
