Nice to have the forum back. Anyone know what the problem was?
Looks like they just restored the system loosing a few very recent threads.

Prob on a back up box?
Bit annoyed as just spent 1/2 hour on composing a reply to a thread for the server to loose it!
Oh well, Glad I don't do IT any more.

There was a thread that indicated the forum was under another "replace attachments with a link to a virus" attack, just before it was shutdown.
Must be some nasty exploits in the software, if it allows a hacker to replace anyone's attachments like that.

Good, I'm glad my headsup thread managed to get through to a few before they clicked the attachments, now the server has been rolled back to an earlier date we have lost a few posts, and threads we've read will appear unread. Either way, at least the links to malicious scripts are gone. I dunno how or why they keep doing it (hacking RCU) but yeah, idiots...

but glad there back
