Hello everybody
This is my first post on here but I have been in to model tanks for a while. I have a Tamiya sherman and a King tiger and I have a Tiger 1 on the way. I have recently purchased a couple of the WSN infra red tanks. I got the winter camo T34 and the Tiger 1 in yellow/green/brown.
My problem is this the t34 radio transmitter has gone faulty. pushing the two sticks foreward is suposed to turn both tracks foreward but in my case only one of the tracks turns so the tank just spins on the spot. Backwards works fine . I know that the problem is the radio because I removed the top from the tank and swapped over the plugs for the two motors connected to the main board and I got the exact problem but on the oposite track while the origional non turning track worked perfectly. This shows that the tank is working fine so I took the radio to pieces but everything looks to be in order .
Has anybody else on here heard of or had this same problem ? can it be fixed ? I see that some people have converted these wsn tanks to HL electronics so does anyone have a spare transmitter for sale ? is there somewhere I can buy a transmitter on line ?

I have seen them blow the transistors for 1 direction, theres a guy in Aus thats gone through 2-3 tanks (1 tiger, 2 T34's) for this exact reason (lost drive to one direction, like left side reverse) so its gotta be a fault... usually by having less features (1 speed) you get less trouble, the original WSN (non-ir) boards were fairly tough, the newer ones are much cheaper made.

Hi percy
I've got a wsn transmitter your more than welcome to have and as I live in Stoke myself it shouldn't be much of a problem getting it to you.

thats more likely to be a transistor than the transmitter IMO. The test you did will give the same result if the tranny on one channel is blown.
HL conversion is easy, or tankzone have spare WSN boards

Hi percy if the H/long conversation isnt for you i would agree with tac23 and go for the blown tranny
I have a spare board and tanxalot has a spare one from the I/R version (maybe) but if it is the tranny i don't think the wsn ones are hard to get hold of
But the H/long swap out is better in the long run[)] due mainly to availability of parts

I don't have the original board for the t34 sadly but I would agree with tac23 and fv432 that the h/long conversion would be the best way to go.

Thanks for all the replys .cpt Bipti I have emailed you as I would definately be interested in taking that spare transmitter off you. Its a real shame if the electronics in these tanks is of a low standard as they are a bit of fun and as the tanks are not too expensive I don't mind my young son thrashing it around the garden. If I blow another transmitter it will be a Heng long conversion I think.
