Default Need help with parts source for KT loader hatch

I'm trying to locate a supplier for a metal loader hatch for a Tamiya King Tiger. The one I'm looking for has the details on the inside (handle) as well as the outside. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Blueslateman on ebay sells the King Tiger parts by sprue. Don't know which sprue it's on but you could ask him. Are you using hatch on a late model Tiger or sprucing up a King Tiger?

Does he sell the metal one? I don't believe it will be on a sprue. I'd use a plastic one if they made it. I don't think the one off the Tiger 1 would fit, I looked at it last night. It looks like a slightly different size.

As for why I want one, I need it for an upcoming face lift project of my KT.

Sorry, I missed the part where you were looking for a metal hatch. Can't say that I have. What I meant in my question was what tank are you going to use the hatch on? Late model Tiger Is used the same hatch as the KT though many guys don't model this.

James,

I understand your comment, and admit that I didn't know that the late tiger and KT shared the same hatch. At this point, I'd pretty much take any hatch, plastic or metal as long as it had the inside detail of the latch and is accurate for the KT. I mentioned the metal hatch because I had seen them previously on Willy Loewer's website. I asked him about it during a recent conversation and he told me it's been discontinued from his website due to supply issues. As for the intended use, I'm going to use it on a King Tiger. I've never seen anyone offer too many parts for a late model Tiger other than BYA, and they're usually out of stock and ship sometime between a long time and never. Besides, they don't offer one of these.

Dugster,

Thanks for the help, but I'm looking for the small rectangular hatch on top of the turret roof that was for the loader, and the pic you posted is of the rear escape hatch. Our Tiger 1s have a very similar loader's hatch installed (that for some reason, Tamiya made operable on the T1, and not the KT), but the KT has one that is a little different (unfortunately for me, or I'd already have ordered that sprue) from the T1. Thanks for looking for me!

I was notified by professionalkits.de (Dirk) that they only sell to Germany and E.U. I'm in the U.S therefore, looking for another distributor...

Anyone know of another source?
