Default The fun factor of Elmod System - T34/85

While waiting for my new Tiger gearbox to arrive, I've decided to transfer the Elmod system temporarily to my T-34 and have some fun for the meantime. So...After changing the jumper setting, Behold - A T-34 that sounds like a T-34.

So sorry for the Marines. Apparently, they must have hijacked the T-34...

Anyway, First Test run at home, and it looks good.

I didn't show it in the video, but I actually ran the tank over the carpet, and it handles just fine...Will do some outdoor test run in the next few days.

BTW, Can any of you tell me whether it is safe for me to simply switch off the tank and leave the lipo battery within it?

Want to put it into my T34

Anyway, don't leave the lipo connected inside the tank even though you've switch it off. You will end up with either a very bloated lipo for less serious case. For the worst scenario, you will end up with a totally burnt T34 or a unwanted fire. It is always a good practice to unplug the lipo after use and try not to leave it in your tank.

Hey, nice to see you over here. Thanks for the advise. Already unplugged the Lipo and put it aside.

It's just the sound effects. The gears are all plastics.

With El Mod you can Choose your squeak they are not all that loud! Calvino can go in and change to another squeak sound or non at all!

Just share with you guys something funny...

I bought the T-34 last Feb and kept it in my office all this while so that my wife won't know about my new purchase.

So...when I decided to convert the T-34 to elmod and then bring it back home recently, I brought my M26 Pershing from home to the office and brought the T-34 back home instead. I was hoping that SINCE women know NUTS about tanks, she won't be able to tell the diff between an M26 and a T-34. To make my deception more convincing, I took pain to spray paint the T-34 from white to olive drab. Well, did it work?

Yah...kind of.

For the first 2 days, she said nothing when I played with it at home. BUT.... On the third day when I was playing with the T-34 in the living room, my wife suddenly took a closer look at the tank and then said, "Hey, I don't remember your tank has these 3 drums behind. IS THIS A NEW TANK AGAIN?" [:-]

The rest of the story you know...There goes my hope of buying a 21st century M48 for conversion to RC.[]

So I guess the morale of the story is this - Never underestimate your wives.

Dear Calvin,

Hehehe, That happen to me as well with my 1/24 Sparkling version Vstankpro M1A2.
You see I already got the airsoft version and my wifey know about it, what she did not know
I ordered the sparkling version too (tried to pass it as the airsoft being upgraded and painted) but by chance
she found my credit card statement and confronted me[:@].

Anyway same discussion happen, tried to defend my hobby but got blasted any way.

Wives just don't understand!

Next day I bought her the bag she was telling me a week ago[]

Cheers,

Patrick C.
