Hi All. I am a new member in this very usefull forum. I've started with RC tanks in may 07 and, since this, I bought heng long tanks, WSN , VS , Ultimate Soldier, and now, Matorro RC tanks( I have now 26 RC tanks).
My last was a Matorro King Tiger. Well, after install the batery and push the start button, this symptom appears: noise, like a buzzer coming from the engines - similar when you move the stick control at minimum . When push the control to the left(super spin), the tank turn to right. Despite of the full battery charge, the tank doens't have enough power to move in front when request.
What I've done: I oppened the tank and confirm that the noise come from th engines. I change the crystals and the whole controller with another I have and nothing - same behavior.
I removed the connections from both motors and I haven't the noise But, the sound that came from the speaker was different.
My points are: I have in this tank a bad board.
What do You think, gentlemans?
Thank you in advance,
Jeferson

Thanks Alam. This is a standard Matorro KT with plastic gears. The tank moves so slow despite of the full charged battery.

When the batteries are VERY flat, the controls will often reverse- I noticed it when I first tested my KT (never ever had that issues with Heng Longs). Charge the battery for a few hours (no more than 3-4) then try again, if it fails again try a known-working battery.

Thank you Wacky. I used a standard Heng long battery charged but I will try again. Make sense this symptom with flat battery. Other information: With all connections in place, bending a little be the connection from the switch on/off, the noise was intermitent.
Thank you All,
Jeferson

Hi Jeferson,
I've been having the same problem with one of my KT's as you have. One of them works great, the other one does not (and just like yours, it makes a noise like a Hornet's nest no matter how much you try to adjust the trim...!)
I have tested both of them using either transmitter and the same battery (with a low charge this time, but they have behaved the same way with a fully charged battery also) without seeing any differences in how they operated, so I have to agree with your original post - the receiver board is bad! [:@]
As The Blitz points out, the Heng Long "Smoke and Sound" electronics are much more reliable (or atleast consistant...?!), and easy to install. Wiring diagrams and instructions can be found here:

Hope this helps,
Mart

I have 2 matorro boards and they act just like yours, buzzing no matter how you set the trim. I think they are just designed bad. Replace them with the HL smoke and sound board.

Mine doesnt make the stalled motor/ESC noise... is this the noise? (At the start of each vid, just as the Kettenkrad goes to move)

Na Wacky although that noise is anoying, but that a cool little vehicle! It is a high frequency humming, very similar to cranking your trim way out in one direction! The Matorro board has some kind of feedback issue!

Thank you All for the points. Yes , it is a MB problem. Yesterday night I did tests like connecting and Disconnecting the cables, fully charged battery , bending the connectors(the wires from motors are really short) , open and check the radio and the noise persists.
Well, I have the same point of view of You, gentlemans= Board [
]. To solve this problem = replace the Mb for HL boards.
How I won't do this replacement right now, What I did: I found , after almost one hour of tentative, a neutral point in the radio. This point is very , very sensible and due this, if you force a super spin , the tank turn in the opposite way(trust me). After this “adjustment” the noise in the motors is almost imperceptible . I have a new KT in box and I chekc it for this problem.
I have a quetion: Replaced for HL eletronics, could I use the same original motors?
Thank you so much Mart, Alan, Blitz, Wacky and Thomas. We really learn a lot with the people in this forum. Jeferson

Exactly this initial noise, Wacky. Before start the movement( the motors didn’t win yet the inertia).
Thanks,Jeferson
