US QUAD 50 HALF TRACK REVIEW PICS
I thought I would do a review on the Ultimate soldier extreme detail quad 50 half track in 1/18th scale. It would be a task to convert to rc so you need to carefully read captions on the pictures they tell all. enjoy!

You know what I find interesting is that the tracks are driven by a drives shaft and a differential, that looks to be the same as a large truck? That sure makes repairs and stocking parts much easier!

I have had one of those for the past couple years and have always been impressed with the detailing.. Mine is manned buy a 5 man crew from C-21. I had to "modify" the gunner by removing his legs to get into the gunner's seat, but it really does look great.
Blitz, The 1/2 tracks are simply a truck chassis with the drive shaft going to a differential leading to sprockets instead of the regular "pumpkin" and axles to wheels. They can be swappped out with wheels with a minimumm of work ....but who wants that[:@]

Nobody wants to have to change it out, but it would sure be niced to have that option if you stuck somewhere, and no way to replace the track you lost to the edge of a mortar attack!

if you loose a track, the front wheels are still engaged. As long as you are not in a foot of mud, a half track can move to a safe place and wait for a replacment track, not dependant on tracks for steering.....they are a rubber band one piece...no fix.[:'(]
