Default Mud Flaps

Anyone using the metal aftermarket mud flaps. The fronts on the Tamiya Tiger look like they have to be cut off. Advantages just cosmetic ?

Keeps dust and dirt from being thrown up obscuring the driver's view possibly! There were some metal ones for the back, never seen working ones for the front except for Aber. Am scratchbuilding one for my initial production Tiger. Got the Tread Plate styrene and waiting for the hinges to show up.

check your Tiger units if you are going to represent a particular tank. Some of the 500 units removed part or all of some front track guards for ID purposes. Original design was to prevent mud & dirt from splashing into the drivers view slit or periscope. Lots of rear ones were simply damaged and lost.
