Great job, looks great! Really like the detailing and the tie downs on both sides. My Pershing has them so I can appreciate the amount of time it took to make them! The port side tie downs were only on the center tool box the pictures that I've seen.

One of the most accrurate Pershings I've seen on the RCU. Looks great. I like the open transmission access grill. Looks great and at the exact open angle. What's under it....switches? What's missing are the gunners and loader's periscopes. On the M-26, the periscope is the primary sighting device, with telescope as secondary. Stand the oil cans up and lock in the fender ammo boxes, and she's ready to roll.
The TC is really good....who has these figures? [sm=thumbup.gif]

That TC is the default tank commander for the Tamiya Sherman.
See? Even the Tamiya Pershing can be improved! What I'm not impressed with is someone thinking that Tamiya got it totally right and then proceeding to build it straight from the box thinking all is well and accurate...
Does Tamiya include the parts that pattoncommander mentioned as missing, the actual prisms for the periscopes? At least I presume that is what he meant...
Thanks for posting these great pics of your work, fleshpedler. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Edited for grammar

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply on the build i promised you.
First thing to do is replace or thin down the light surrounds as these are way too thick, replace with brass or thin them
the same as i did, just using a file.
Next if no sandshields are fitted then drill the holes in the edge of the side skirts about .05mm or a little larger, as i broke
the rear fitted wire when i first used the tank, i then decided to replace the small retaining lugs with brass, these simple brackets
are bent into a L shape with a small tang to locate where the original fittings were. I was luck to have a spare retaining bracket from
my sherman build which has a thread and wingnut fitted. These items epoxied in place to stand the handling that the tank has to endure.
The tc vane sight was drilled but not spilt as plastic to thin to risk that. The loaders hatch retaining lug made from plastic and drilled
then retained by some thin wire with aloop on one side as per real thing.Removed the raised molded springs on the loaders hatch
and repaced with coiled wire plastic card remember that thse springs are not on the same axis as the hatch itself, beware that you have to glue this movment solid so that both axis move together.
Fitted the five periscopes guards from schumo, the matlet suround that the weather guard clips to. was thin plastic strip then drilled and plastic rod fitted into the holes.
Will continue later work calls.
