Default Pink Tank

Warning: Contents May Be Humorous!

During my Tiger and King Tiger builds, my S.O. and I would have frequent discussions on whatever I was working on, in particular tank paint schemes. These discussions usually went something like this:

S.O.: Whatcha doing?
Me: Trying to figure out what color I should paint my tank.
S.O.: You should paint it pink.
Me: I'm not going to paint it pink. Tanks are not painted pink. Tanks are painted camoflage.
S.O.: I think you need to paint it pink.
Me: I'm not painting it pink!
S.O.: It would look good pink...
Me: I'm not painting it pink! Where's the frosty adult beverages?

... Repeat 2859 times...

Well, since I wanted to continue with my past, current and future builds in peace, I decided to get her a tank of her own and paint it as she wished. She opted for a T-34/85, mostly because it looked "fast".

I've made no mechanical or electronic changes to it at this time; only paint. All patterns and colors are SWMBO approved... Even have a crew member, too!

You know, I was actualy thinking about if anyone has a pink tank ("the wifes tank") since I have noticed that many of you guys are married or having a girlfriend. I say better she has a pink tank that she like than not liking your tanks at all

Talking about pink, I know that SAS painted the landrovers pink in the 90s when they were in the desert

really cute....now wire up "Pink Panther" theme for the driver. Brings back memories of the Pink Submarine" movie. There is a pink T-34/85 parked in London somewhere.....it was on the site a while a back.

Sorry about that Pete.. Fortunately for my wallet, she likes the look of the T-34 better than the Panther.

Mizuinu... its a WSN T-34 that I bought about a year ago.

Pattoncommander... is this the [link=http://www.aleksandramir.info/projects/pinktank/pinktank.html]one[/link]?

You mean this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:P...20050326_2.jpg

The Brits had a thing for pink camo. Has anyone here heard of [link=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountbatten_pink]Mountbattan Pink[/link], a naval camouflage invented by Lord Mountbattan to better conceal the destroyers in his flotilla. I would have hated to serve on one of those ships - can you imagine the jokes one would hear in the local pubs??!! Not to mention the inevitable brawls that would follow!

My wife loved it! My oldest daughter wants me to repaint her Panther now to look like yours! If she buys the paint, I'll let her paint it!
