Default Tamiya Static Kits

Do the Tamiya Static kits have all the same parts as the full option kits except for the motors and gearboxes.

I have the static Tiger kit that I converted to FO, when my original suffered a catastrophic fall. Instead of buying a new FO Tiger, I just plunked down money for the static kit, after I calculated that the replacement parts cost to fix my Tiger would almost cost as much as a FO.

But yes, the Tiger static kit has ALL the FO Tiger parts, and more. It actually has extra details, like parts so you could make the driver and radio operator hatches workable.

And mounting all the RC components on the static kit is a breeze.

Googly is correct. The Tiger 1 static kit does have some extra goodies. Have never figured out why Tam did not include them in the FO kit. The other static kits seem to be the same as the FO kits, with some extra goodies to support the final drive sprocket. But suspension, idler adjustmemt, tracks, hull details are the same.

I dont think they officially do them? Perhaps you could get a "static" one from someone who just purchased a FO for the electronics, that happens quite often.

To the best of my knowledge, they only offer, or offered, the KT and Tiger 1 as static. A lot of Pershings are out there having been gutted for T 34 projects, and I would imagine some KT's or Tiger 1's gutted for P3 and P4, but I don't really know how many. Good call, Whacky

My mistake. Forgot about the Leo, and have no idea of the old Sherman was ever offered as static. Anyone know?

yep to many people buy them then putting after market parts on them instead of buying the rc kit out right .I picked up a old early KT for the price of a static kit the only things I have to do is convert the turret movement and add elevation and recoil plus get read of the plastic barrel and add the updated electronics I did find the torsion bars missing in kit but im upgrading to the impact suspension upgrade any way .

thanks
jimmy
