Default radio problems

Hi all,

a friend of mine has had problems with his HL Pershings radio reception, and I am trying to fix it for him. I've got it in bits and I've swapped the board for my spare non S&S board but I cannot make it work.

It only works if you touch the tank aerial and the tranny aerial together. Does anyone know what could be the problem? The aerial is well attached to the board, so thats no problem, and ive tried it with two boards already, and the problems still there.

thanks

Matt

good idea, though I have already tried another tranny I know works on the Pershing and the same thing happens.

*development* I tried the Pershing with my own non S&S Panzer III's transmitter, and it works, so it looks like the problem lies in the Pershings tranny. I shall pull it apart tonight and investigate.

I have exactly the same problem with my brand new Pershing S&S. Both the retailer & I suspected the crystals but after reading this it may in fact be the transmitter iitself.

If you should find the problem an update would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tim
