Looks good pretty far! Are you assembling it with CA glue?

That Maxon mount for the .50's unit begs to have a trailer made for it... gonna try it? And if its R/C'd, that engine and tranny would make a great cargo item!

And yea, would love for someone to make a R/C-able suspension unit for it. Wonder if the front winch could be R/C'd too...

The Halfie is now on my 'to-buy' list...

How do the 50's compare in detailing to the Tamiya ones? and the rest of the tidbits (ammo cans, jerrycans, etc.) Are there any crew figs? If so, pics pls?

Hey, you could always shift it back to a White scout car, and put wheels under it instead of the track unit... at least until someone makes a durable track unit for it.

At a first glance, this model doesn't seem suited for an RC conversion without a lot of work and without changing a lot of parts

Definitely not a realistic RC-able one for me, to pay that much upfront just to hack it up, source extra bits, then try to discreetly RC it... no thanks

Hello wackywheelz,
Sometimes it's a lot of fun to take on a project just to see what you can do with it.Even if sometimes it don't turn out as great as one hoped it would, the fun is the challenge and trying.

I still might get this, but scratch build a 105MM in place of the quad ... just like Kellys Heroes.

Not sure what I will do with this model yet, it's got to wait its turn, there are at least six other model builds in front of it, maybe by the time I start it some aftermarket upgrades will show up to help making it RC possible, if not I'll see what I can do. Looks like a fun build so far.

yes there are many parts that need ca glue but there are parts that require screwss that are not supplied and they want you to glue them but I am installing screws where ever possible for later consideration

guns are going on a trailer mount and the inside of the m5 will have seating and a 50 cal ring mount

the main issue with RC ing this is the suspension in the rear the rest is staight forwad as to stearing and diffs there are 2 conpanys that make 1 /16 scale diffs and as a drive motor and trans Tamia makes an excelent gear reduction unit that will fit perfect where the original engine is

Those quad 50 cals look quite nasty. I'm glad I'm not on the wrong end of them.

I like your approach making it tow the M17 2-Ton w/M45 Quadmount.

Or, did you mean this one?

I gotta quit looking at this build before I end up owning one. [] Nice work! [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
