hello just a quick q&a here. we are now offering a fully modded turret for the hl tiger. do you prefer wire quick clamp coupler connections or just soldering for tank electrical work? some people get a little nervous with soldering so we figured we come and ask fellow tankers what they think.

Hi CreepingdeathRC,

I would always want the connector style, even if soldering is not a problem. Reason for this is its easier to swap/disconnect the turret/top.

I will visit the website to check your offering on the turret. SOunds very interessting

cheers
Steen

I agree, connectors are always best. What's your timeline for the rest of the turrets (Bulldog, Pershing, PzIII, etc)? I'd like to get the Bulldog and PzIII.

pershing are available now. we just dont have a pic up for it yet. bulldogs and panzer III's are coming soon after. the pIII and the bulldog are a little more labor intensive and alot more machining, so we are retooling up. but price will not be higher for the two.

Id love to get one of your turrets for my Tiger.

Im very new to this, so how easy are they to set up, and do they connect and run from the HL electronics?

Are they compatible with the El Mod turret system?

Also, how long do you take to ship the to the UK?

Cheers,
Rik

whew! So then the price for both stays the same as the Tiger's turret? The Tiger's turret was a little more than I had expected based upon previous threads and the "retooling" comment had me worried.

Do you plan to make the upgraded turrets for all of HL's line? PzIV and Panther, too? How about the Matorro King Tiger? (Planning future acquisitions...)

first you have to remove your old turret. there are 3 larger wires(these are your elevation and gun motor wires) that meet on a "bridge" of sorts coming from the old turret and there are 2 smaller wires that come from your old turret(these are the machine gun wires). all you do is simply cut these and unscrew the turret from the turret gear and pop in the new turret. after this you resolder the new wires in to the connection. there will be two extra sets of wires coming out of the turret, these will be the recoil system wires, and optional headlights on and off wires. the recoil wires will quick clamp splice to the red and black wires that go to your control board. the other set can be hooked in to your headlights(or any thing else you want to turn on and off) to turn on and off via the old airsoft on and off switch. all new wires from the turret are labled for a quick install.

our turrets are a direct bolt in for the henlong electronics.

the elmod tls system has the ability to keep the airsoft function so you would be good. we have never tested with the tls but as long as the airsoft gun functions our system works. even though elmod is competition I have to admit that would be a cool tank!!!

allow 10-14 days for delivery. shipping is included in price.

we'll get some instructions up on the website but its really quite simple to hook up.

we are shooting for all the airsoft models (hl/mato). the hl panther needs a good reworking and not just the turret. that whole thing drives us batty here. expect to see a new lower and upper hull in our product line up for it.

I hope the turrets are better than the shoddy decals and camo nets you sell?

I'll pass for now, thanks.

Sounds awesome! I'm with Swathy...Santa will have my list early.

I like the idea of a reworked Panther.

I don't see EL MOD as your competition, over half my sales do not have a battle system,,, the guys would probably love to have a real blasting cannon! I think everyone wants at least one tank that can sting the neighbors cat![X(]

Now when you come out with a drive system and programmable sounds then we have a little competition!

But competition is always good for the consumers!

hopefully before thanksgiving. there are a few issues with the mato king tiger. its turret seems a little gappy in some spots. it needs some work but its got all the right stuff.

hey blitz, i gotta admit i actually like the elmod system. that drive system looks great. the sounds of the fg 42 rock also!!! lol i might have to swing by rctankwars to pick one up. we got a kick butt sound system coming out and I'm excited to see how it works with the elmod blaster. our sound system is pure engine, so it should compliment an elmod nicely.

One more question;

Is the barrel plastic or metal, and if its plastic, is it still possible to replace it with a metal one?

I very much want one of your turrets, annoyingly I have to wait till payday though, lol.

and a question from me

Is your free shipping a insured shipping or regular US postal.

I have had some bad experience with US postal, where my ordered items never arrived over the atlantic []

I would be happy to pay a little bit more to get a insured shipping, UPS, Fed-ex or other more reliable courier

cheers

grim , the barrel is metal and plastic. the spacer and main bearing surface for the barrel recoil is all metal. the muzzle and forward barrel section is plastic. the actual airsoft barrel inside is machined 4150 steel.

steenv, shipping is free and we always insure, its included with the purchase price. we use usps, and have tracking numbers. we've had pretty good luck with the usps. give us a shout if you prefer ups or fedex and we'll see what we can do.

sounds good steenv. nothing compares to a massive airsoft battle at dusk hours. it gets really intense if you have a good open chunk of land. we start at about 30-40 yards and let fly. uber fun!!!!!!
