Default break light burnout

hello, I need some advise.
The break light on my tamiya pershing tank burnout. I would like to know to replace the tiny light bulb do i have to buy the perhsing light unit with no choice, or does anybody here know where I can buy such a tiny lightbulb. Everything works fine for the tank but without the break light. It feels incomplete. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

It's possible but unlikely the LED burnt out. More then likely a wire came loose. You can buy LEDs from any number of locations online or your local electronics store.

My apologies, I didn't read the thread close enough, thought you were referring to Heng Long Pershings. [:-]

Thanks for your reply. I will check the wire again. However, such a small light bulb is unusual. The smallest led I see in the store is like 3mm. I think that bulb is small than 3mm
Thanks

Look here http://www.aaftankmuseum.com/pershingpg2.htm

It lists the light unit at $12.50 if this is the part your looking for, if not E-mail Karen at this site and she will help you get what you need at a far price.

go to the local electronics store and buy a replacment buld the micro buls are cheap and come with 3 inch leads so you can make a new conection 3 inches away from the original so the bulb will fit in the stock location

Um, guys...

The Pershing and Sherman light sets are NOT LED's. They are microbulbs. I know because I shattered one when trying to get it into the light fixture (brake one as well here, tanktank, but on the Sherman)

I had hoped to find a distributor of the fine 1.65mm LED's (3mm's are to big) but cannot find one, and most of the US sellers that have 'em won't sell to Canada.

tanktank, I'd invest in the new set, and keep the damaged set for spare bulbs and plug. And make sure you get the right set, they are NOT intercompatible (though the bulbs may be (ain't tested the voltages yet)

They may be probably 2v grain of wheat, but I've never seen comparable ones in the hobby shop.

I've opened up my heat-shrink on the harnesses if anyone wants a wiring diagram for 'em (The Shermans are all 5 in series, if you jump across the brake, the other four are brighter, the Pershing is a set of three and a set of two)

Thanks everyone. I checked the wire. I am sure the bulb is burnt out. I think i have to get the new light unit. If I can get the bulbs that will be great since i will buy a lot of them. I know they probably will not cost a lot. That is better than buying the light unit although it is not expensive. But still if you have alot of those bulbs you can replace them easily without buying a new unit everytime the bulb burntout. Thank you for the advise.
