How to make Early Tiger 1 look worn and well used?
I have a RC HL Tiger 1 early model. Whats the best (and not to difficult) way to make it look worn and used, and preferably look like the original WW2 grey Tiger tank.
I am also thinking about buying this to make it look authentic: http://www.rctank.de/product_info.ph...roducts_id=435

Drive it outside everyday for a month. Make sure to drive through sand, rocks, mulch, mud, puddles and rain. Snow is good too. Only remove enough grunge so the running gear will function and at the end of a month, you're Tiger will look and run (run, haha) just like a real one!

if its just for rusted exhausts use an orange and brown pastel chalk mixed with a bit of brown acrylic paint, scrape the pastel chalk with a scalpel blade into the paint, mix and apply when its dry stipple on some black and Grey pastels for soot stains, its very cheap and easy to do.

lol Matt, took the words right outta my mouth, I have used artist pastels, the good kind, german brand cant remember the name, dont go cheap though because the better brands are well-just better lol. They are more of a powder which is easier to apply. Also I have used this stuff called instant rust which can be found at craft stores in the states, so not sure in Norway. The instant rust you brush on and it has fine metal particles in it and then you brush another solution over top and it actually rust's. But you need to do this in a well ventilated area or you will see pink elephants and start to drool.

I did this by accident taking off some paint I kind of liked it.
I thought that was normal.

For what it's worth I use the Tamiya weathering kits on all my tanks. it's the easiest way to get good results without having excellent detailing skills. easy too use and looks good. Plus you can wash it off if it doesn't turn out the way you like. or just like too change effects for seasons.
