As some of you might know, when I am not burning up RX-18's, setting my office on fire while soldering, super glueing my fingers and getting my Tigers ready to roll, I write novels.
I have two books thus far. OF ICE AND STEEL has been out two year and the second EPITAPH will be out soon.
After the OF ICE AND STEEL series is over, I was needing a new idea. Well this forum inspired me. I cannot go into details, but I ran the idea by some other authors as well as some folks in Hollywood who are bringing OF ICE AND STEEL to the big screen and they loved the idea. No other work has been done like this.
So here is what I would like to do. I would like to feature someone's model TIGER on the cover of the novel.
What I am looking for is a TIGER 1 (any scale) from about 3/4 view just as it creasts a small rise. Unfortunatly I cannot use DAK or very early Tigers
The more realistic the better of course. Background can be woods, steppe, whatever; except desert.
I thought of using my own TIGER (s) but the folks on here have been so terrific that I would like the chance to make someone's tank a star.
If you are interested post a pic as described above. I'll PM you if I like what I see.
You newbies jump in also!
Thanks
Don

1 last thing ( I promise) if you have any say in the movie and they need a tiger tank, Please, Please insist they use a real one. No shooting the driver through his viewer LOL ( SPR) Movie goers are not as dumb as they use to be.

OH if it does get that far a real or at least a 1:1 model will be used. Some of it will have to be CGI. Last thing I want is another T-55iger.

Chief, you didn't specify whether you wanted a "Winter" or "Summer" tank and setting. Or does it matter?
(Speaking of Movie Tanks has anyone traced the lineage of the Panzer III the Partisans destroy in "Defiance"?! )

There's a guy in Germany who built a 1:1 Tiger in his garage, all he needs are the tracks and wheels last time I looked. Another company was all set to build them with diesel engines. So if such a film were to be made, the Tigers are out there.

Don,
Great to see you coming out with another book! [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Send Servobest a PM so you can get in touch with Ty George in Jacksonville who assists Bob with ETO's US operations. He has one of the best Tamiya Tiger Is I've seen & is a genus when it comes to paint & weathering - besides tanks, he's a known artist, both in paint & graphic arts.

Hey Chuck!!
Yep EPITAPH is going to press very soon! Within the week. Have you seen the trailer for OF ICE AND STEEL?
Just wait till you read TIGER! This book is going to kick some serious butt! But not who you think it will...heheheh. I think this will be my best yet.
More later
