Well, my Pershing is comming alone pretty nicely. So far I've, moved the antenna to the turret, secured the ammo boxes, removed the gas cans and helmets, added the machine gun opening in the mantlet, painted the tank, fixed and painted the 50cal. As the HL decals are bad, I need to find somewhere to get some good ones. I did do a search, but I cant seem to find where you can buy the Tamiya decals and a couple of the other links are no longer good. I'd like some stars, numbers, and ammo box decals. HELP. Oh, I forgot, Im doing a WWII version.

You just need white stars and block numbers about 15mm, and fender unit letters-numbers about 5 mm. Hobby shops should carry
a variety of decals that would cover those.
Georg Eyerman at [email protected] can make them for you if you have a particular unit of tank to copy.
Did you remove the rear phone?

this is where I get mine from
http://www.peddinghaus-decals.de/
It seems that his site is down but you get dozens of different units to choose from.
You can also go to ebay.de and buy them there

Thomasjohnmurphy, I tried them, as you said their website is down and their Ebay store says that there are no products in there webstore?
Panter F, are those the decals for the 1/16th Tamiya Pershing? If so, does anyone have a picture of what that sheet looks like?
Pattoncommander, funny you should mention that, no I havent yet. I did quite a bit of damage removing all the other incorrect stuff and I am hesitant to do more. HL used alot of glue on my Pershing!! I had to cover one of the storage boxes with a patch panel of 0.010 plastic sheet. Its barely noticable. Will post pictures as soon as I get the decals on. Should be pretty accurate, but theres always something more you can do. Did you get the Signal/Squadron book I mentioned yet?

A couple of questions. Does the Tamiya Pershing decal sheet include decals for ammo boxes.(I can't see too small), Tamiya Pershing decal sheet is decals not dry transfers?. These decals from Peddinghaus are dry transfers? Also, do the Peddinghaus decal sheet include ammo can markings. Sorry for so many questions, but I need to finish my Pershing.

The Tamiya has them for the K-Rations and for the 50 cal. Don't know about the others.
And they are both water slide decals!

Tim, The book is on the way...thanks for the heads up. Again, best way to get rid of that glue damage without re-covering with sheet styrene is to put a camo net or tarp over it. Lots of these were real bad on oil, so stacking 5-6 jerry cans there and roping down covers nice. On the rear phone, no problems removing that...only tacked in one spot and easy to Dremmel or sand cean. Bild-O-Rama has a lot of neat stowage stuff that works great....it's 1;18 but that's totally immaterial, except for combining jerry cans.

Damn, the tank museum wants $9 to ship a sheet of decals that cost $6.75!![:@] I want the decals, but $9 for mailing a single sheet?

It's like that everywhere. Shipping isn't cheap, no matter what the cost of the item is.
Do you think they should just cram it in an envelope and throw a stamp on it? Add some more items and take advantage of the shipping costs. They do take pride in safely packing their items.
