Will the Leopard 2 rubber tires fit the Leopard 1 wheels?

Unfortunately not. I measured (measurements are approximate) my Leo 1a4 and my wife's Leo26, and the Leo2 has a roadwheel diameter of 40.8mm (not including the tire), and 10.8mm wide. Leo 1 is 34.5mm in diameter (not including the tire) and 10mm wide.

I suggest you either purchase replacement tires for your Leo1a4 or cut up an old bicycle innertube and glue a small strip of the rubber around the roadwheel.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone have any spares for the Leopard 1, these things are impossible to find.
