Default What are some good static models to convert to RC?

Hey Guys, what are some good 1/16 static models that I can convert to r/c with HL electronics fairly easily? I'm looking to build maybe a T-34/76 or 85, or JagdTiger ,Hanomag, Puma, Elefant, ISU 152, IS2 basically any tank from WW2 that is either German or Russian..

Have any of you converted any of these without too much headaches?

School me on this stuff

thanks in advance [8D]

Lots of people have converted the WSN T-34's to Heng Long. There are some good threads about it here on RC universe to use as a guide. Other then that I haven't seen many. There just aren't a lot of 1/16 scale armor kits out there any more.(Not in production that I know about anyway)

Ya me and TJM were talking about the WSN T-34s last night during our battle session

He shows up with a laser pointer on his panther barrel, me and my other buddy had to aim the hard way hahaha it was fun..

I'd like to find a T-34 for a decent deal without getting taken since they're junk inside and neat to be stripped to convert..

I've been watching ebay but can't find any deals on any.. They're all over $100 NOT including shipping to Canada..

RCCommand is still going to be your best bet. Bill even has the SU convertion kit for it. The WSN T34 is a great little tank once modded to HL. the only thing is you lose the flash and redoil. can anyone figure out out to get those functions back. Will going to a Tx18 board do the trick?

I am going to do a post on that next week, but you do not loose flash or recoil! If you have the RX-14 board you connect the flash to the flash point on the back of the board by the sound card, and you connect the recoil to the cannon shot motor power and if you want to synchronize them you install the micro switch in the left stick up lever wiring it to the back of the K button and you get all the functions! I am going to use the DBCRC2 so I do not need to do that the flash will come form the DBCRC2 board and I wire the recoil up the shot wiring on the Heng Long 8 pin connector and you have all the functions!

Hey blitz could you send me some pics and or a diagram on how to get the flash and recoil back. all i did was the basic HL conversion. I was not aware you could do this with the 14 board. I dont want to misslead anyone. I really like the T-34 it would be cool to get the full functions back.

Here are the spots that you have to solder too, ( RX-13 or 14 is the same spot ), unfortunately you need to have the hand and eyes of a doctor,, but it works great! I have went as low as 68 ohm resistor inline with the positive side of the LED you choose and all works well!
