Another Late Tiger
Over the last few weeks I've been bashing a HL Tiger. Many posts here at RCU have helped me get the parts that I need as well as putting it all together, so thanks to you all.
List of bits and pieces:
CreepingDeath Turret
Decals from CreepingDeath
ElMod upgrade (Drive and Sound) from RCTankWars
Bigger battery
Upgraded Steel gearboxes from RCCommand
Lots of detail bits from RCTank.de
Metal running gear upgrade (Will get the impact Tracks in the next month)
Still have a lot to do but hopefully I'll get some pics of up on the weekend.
Thanks,
Phill

RE: Another Late Tiger
First pics of the elmod install with DX6i and BR6000 bot Rx. I removed the battery box then covered the floor of the hull with some 3mm styrene sheet. I can't believe how heavy it weighs!
I still have to strap the battery in and mount the volume control.

Phil, looks great! Nice and clean. Like the white inside. Yours looks really neat and orderly, mine was just 'ok' as far as neatness goes (should see my disaster of a modeling area). Stacy

Until one of the Spektrum experts speak up, you could check out the DAK radio page for some insight.

Ok! I've made some changes since I last posted. The lower hull has been replaced with an Asiatam item. I'm also fitting an Asiatam recoil unit.

A sweet looking tank there Phil! Did you ever get the gun fire worked out? You may need to go to the Prop 6 version! Give us good notes on the Asitam recoil hook up, Merle or I have not done that one yet!

Hi Blitz,
The install hook up is really easy. Here's what I did:
1. Cut the old plastic barrel away just forward of the sleeve.
2. Drill, ream and sand the sleeve, ,mantle and back plate out to approximately 13mm.
3. Ensure that the new barrel slides in and out smoothly.
Just a tip, rctank.de sells the correct barrel......the mounting point has been turned down to the dimensions specified by Asiatam.
Follow the DVD instructions up to point of connecting the wires.
Wiring
1. Get rid of the blue wire, you don't need it.
2. White wire goes to elmod main switch.
3. Black wire goes to neg terminal of battery.
4. Red, green and yellow get soldered to the small pcb in the upper hull, as per asiatams instructions.
I tested mine last night. Works extremely well! [8D]
Regards,
Phill

It's around 95% finished. I still have to add some more details and do a little more weathering. The camo nets also need some work!
