RE: H.LONG BULLDOG smoke emitter
you may have too much oil in there....if theres too much oil the wee element cant generate enough heat to make it smoke.....on the flip side there may be no oil in their at all, but they usually come primed from the factory, so doubtful i reckon
....mine is a noisy one too, i usually leave it off cos the amount of smoke that comes out is barely visible!

I filled the oil as indicated in the manual, and got some to barely visible smokes came out. There was a thread someone has mentioned using scented oil with better results.

Thank you all for your responses, since I've got nothing to loose I might try motor oil or transmission oil ? I might end up pulling the smoke unit out since Iam putting in a Tamiya battle system and could use the room. Pictures and text to follow !!

the smoke units actually produce decent smoke if you have the right amount of smoke liquid in the smoker.. You barely need any at all.. Best thing to do is flip the tank upside down and try to drain it all out.. You can try using that long thing tube they give you with the smoke aerosol.. It will smoke just fine.. If you fill it too much the heating element has a hard time getting hot enough to burn it.. Try draining it completely then run the smoker for awhile..

thats true Nitro, but alot of the times the cotton like fiber batting after becomes a blobby sludge. this can plug up the exhaust ports. this happened to our bulldogs smoker. also the exhaust tubes might be pinched.

Another thing to do is just use the smoker and over a period of time it you will notice that it will start to smoke more and more heavy!
Trust me on that one, my old Tiger I is proof when I start it up.

WOW, I've got some hope now for a smoking tank while doing my mock battles...I'll try all the tips you have suggested, and get back to the thread and update.
