From what was said in these forums I believe they are a bolt on type attatchment, so a HL to Tam conversion should be very easy.

I am confused on this Mato Henglong thing. Are you guys referring "MATO" as short for MATTORRO?
The site I was looking at was a Mato Toys Website.

Heng Long is not Matorro which is not Mato Toys

I believe they are relatives, though.

Yet both produce tanks that share identical components. Why dont' they just form it under one name. Even their packaging is confusing. So we have Henglong, Mattorro, WSN, and MATO, making these Tanks. Obviously sharing the components between each other. Why don't they just combine it under 1 name like Tamiya? A lot less confusing.
Ok so in my line up I have A KT- MATTORO-WalkerBullDog- HL-Sturmtiger-Mattoro-Pershing-HL-Tiger1-HL-PZ3-HL-PZ4-HL-Panther-HL-T34-WSN MATTORRO-Jagpanther-HL

The Mattoro and the HL you can see the differences in the plastic. The HL and Mato I don't see the differences.

Think "General Motors" (if you can, under present Circumstances !) What's the Diff between "GMC", "Chevrolet", and "Saturn" Vehicles? (Probably a Lousy Analogy. I get confused too.... !)

Hey Paul;

Think our little Newfie buddy is getting himself confused! Had a little Newfie on my watch on the old Saguenay used to get confused like that too - wonder if its him?

Think might run up to Moncton today and take some pics of the Sherman in Centennial Park. We had a big melt down east here - should be clear of snow!

I think it's pretty great to have 3 tanks coming out within 4 months of each other.

[8D] The plastic on the Henglong Tanks are more "crisp" and a littel thicker. Not as soft as the KT and the T34.

Plastic is the same ABS, between Matorro and Heng long the King Tiger is definately as tough as a Heng long!

Matorro does not make the T-34 WSN Trumpeter makes that model and it is a bit thinner!

I noticed a difference in the Matorro and HL plastic too, not enough to buy one over the other. The electronics and gearboxes are another story, Matorro is second to HL in these areas. I finally got my tanks down to Florida, now to find a house with a little ruined european city in the backyard

House hunting right now is like a Fox in a Hen House, have fun!

Mato Toys is making the Sherman and while the gearbox is sealed and uses plastic gears, we don't yet know if it's not reliable.

A tanker should be involved with the R&D on this tank.
