Default ETO Armor terminating Impact as a supplier.

http://rctankhq.com/panzerforum/inde...icseen#msg6621

"Fellow tankers. After much soul searching and deep thought, I have decided to stop handling Impact. I will not start a public scandal over this decision. Trust me in that this decision has been a long time coming.
Starting tonight, all Impact items on the [link=http://www.etoarmour.com/]ETO Armor[/link] web sight will be dramatically reduced in price. The sale will continue until all Impact items are sold.
Etoarmour.com will NOT be going out of business. We have expanded our base of suppliers and will continue to do so in the future. Warehouse will continue to work in it's proven efficient manner. Look for some items to replace Impact items on the sight very soon. As you know, I stock only quality items, so any new items will be up to ETO Armor standards.
I am very sorry to have to drop Impact, and I sincerely thank all my fellow tankers for their support."

Looks like Erwin from Impact is trying to open up his own store on Ebay as well as expanding his dealings with RCCOMMAND in the US and Welsh-Dragon-Models in the UK. He really dislikes Americans and isn't the most honest person to deal with...so suppliers and buyers beware. Personally, I doubt Impact will survive Erwin's lack of ethics, let alone the recession.

I've had no problems with Impact. I found their communication excellent with shipping being exceptionally fast. I did order direct tho.

Are the prices reduced yet? I still see the IBU at $69.95.

Looks like they have. Impact is selling them on evil bay for $100.00. They sold a few for $79.95. So much for being cheaper then Tamiya. I am only interested in their tracks. Had way way to many problems with their T/U's and still am. Now who is going to warranty them?

Any product bought from etoarmour will be warranted as normal. TU's are now fine after some final tweaking 5 months ago. However, any TU bought from me must be maintained and lubricated, etc. My TU's are also coded as to when they were bought, enscribed on the TU frame. This coding has been done for some months now. TU's from other suppliers will not be warranted by etoarmour, as I do not know what was done to them before or after sale. Warranty on Tu's is 6 months. Battle systems are warranted by Impact, and any problem with them, you have to return them to Impact as per Impact's instructions to me on introduction, at your expense for the Post to Sing. Go to my sight, look under electronics, you will find the battle system with a synopsis of Impact's warranty statement.
My company is very healthy, so there are no worries there. I will continue in business as usual, and I am always looking for quality parts. As for price, the profit margin is quite low. Price is also affected by exchange rates which fluctuate daily. With the current strength of the dollar, there was an unannounced price decrease almost 3 months ago on sight. However, I can not react to daily or even weekly exchange fluctuations.
We will also be expanding on services. A lathe has been purchased, and we are working on bearing services to start. New services will be announced on various forums and the etoarmour sight.

All prices for Impact were dropped 20% yesterday on sight. One item was not lowered, as it is an abysmally slow mover and was already at slightly below cost. I

Jackson23, Check again. I did the the math and got these results!

1. Tamiya Pz4 Impact Late tracks from a favorite UK vendor: $158.12 + S/H
2. Tamiya Pz4 Impact Late tracks from Bob at ETO Armor: $107.50 + S/H

Gentlemen, we are beginning to get low on some items. If you are considering, now is the time. Early KT tracks are gone.

Yup, blew out the door. Same with the Sherman T66's...gone in a heart beat. TU's are getting low too, as are suspensions for Tiger 1/Panther, Pershing T84 tracks are almost gone.

If you can explain the economics of Erwin's distributors selling something for less than he is selling them from his ebay store I'd really appreciate it. Besides which, Tamiya OEM items can be had for about 70.00 bucks off ebay in the first place. Shifty little chinese bugger if you think about it.

It's an IBU and you're right, on that item there is no profit margin. And plus, originally they were sold at $59.99 at first (which was great), but then IMPACT then raised their prices and placed them on their ebay site so what's the sense in carrying them when they are now not much cheaper than a Tamiya unit? []

That's why we are where we're at now. Selling it off.
