Default Mato..

I purchased an IR upgrade kit and metal gearboxes for My HL Tiger1 and reciveved a defective RX18 and crystals , The gearboxes didn't even get shipped to Me . I made a complaint through Pay Pal and they did nothing for Me ...I'll never order from them again...I'd rather pay shipping from the US than get ripped again. Too bad as I live in Canada too...

If you go on Ebay.ca and look up Matorro, you will find RC Dynasty. They have some really good deals on the parts you might be looking for. I got my HL Tiger from them and the service is really good. They are based outta Markham Ontario.

Yes but for some reason the service you get directly off ebay is alot better than it is if you order from their website. Atleast thats my experience.

What happened when you contacted Mato? Who did you communicate with? How long was it from the time of order to when you first contacted them?

That's too bad. My experience has been exactly the opposite. Very few people offer warranties on DIY electronic installations. One wrong connection and poof, up in smoke.

Did you contact Mato first or did you go through Paypal right away????

If you paid for metal gearboxes, then you will get metal gearboxes. Mato is much too big to play games like this. A copy of your paypal invoice should be all that is required to get your gear boxes.

Like YHR my experiences with MATO has been great. Sometimes they are slow in responding to e-mails though. I would suggest trying again to contact them.

Great service! Responded quickly to the one minor problem I had. Will deal with them again in the future.

My only problem with Mato was that the tank was defective and it was my first tank. They offered to send me new parts - whatever I needed - and I didn't know what the problem was. Tank powered up ok, but wouldn't start up. Could have been anything. I elected to send the tank back for a new one and they made it good, but shipping from the States to Canada was on me and quite expensive. Something to keep in mind for those ordering internationally.

Living in the US you can't go wrong with RC Command

The shipping is a good point, shipping from the US to anywhere has gotten stupid, no fault of the vendors that is just how it is. It is actually cheaper for me in Canada to order stuff from Europe, because of the shipping costs. And that is before customs and duties.

I contacted them about the problem the day the order arrived and I opened the box...I sent an e mail to customer service. Said they'd send the gear boxes. 2 days later i had time to PLUG in the RX18.(no way to hook any thing up wrong) and nothing...Just flashing lights... I sent another e mail to C.S and they responded there is no warrenty for electronics...Now there is no way any wires we're hooked up incorrectly, THEY PLUG IN...I tested the RX18 in 2 known to be good tanks..and the same thing happened...The crystals and board are no good...I sent another e mail, and recieved no response other than "no warrenty"...So I contacted Pay Pal, Pay Pal will only refund $$$ if the purchase was made through E Bay...And now they will not respond to any communications...So I basically threw $138 away...as the gearboxes we're not delivered and any other parts we're defective...

hmmm... thats odd... paypal do make action outside ebay vendors... made several refund comaplaints on several internet vendors on my previous model kit collection... and for every complaints i had outside ebay paypal resolved it accordingly... try calling paypal thru their number and if a agent cant help you demand that you should be transfered to a supervisor..

Another fast order from Matotoys Canada. I ordered a receiver, mainboard, and a set of crystals on the 30th and they arrived in todays mail. Got an even bigger surprize when I opened the package instead of the rx13 mainboard they sent an rx14 mainboard. I have always received excellent service from Matotoys Canada.

I thought you were talking about the TK-RX18s or do you mean both the 18 and the radio don't work?

Why on Earth would a company as big as Mato try and scam you??? They sell thousands of these things, and are a factory direct supplier.

I've tried different crystals, transmitter, rx18....there all no good....swapped then with 2 known good tanks, and nuthin....I'm not saying that they deliberatly scammed Me...I just want them to make things right...I forked over $138 for Metal gearboxes and RX18 IR upgrade kit...I never receved the gearboxes and none of th RX18 stuff works.....What would You think??

I don't believe they deliberately scammed you, but I do think they should remedy this situation. Something sounds really fishy here!
