Fitting an RX 18 board into a WSN t34, got everything sorted except the muzzle flash, where do the red and black wire on the LED fit onto the board.

If you have the flash unit then you plug it in the flash plug top second from left CN3 Gun Flash

That's sweet I was converting my T34 to the RX 14 but instead I will use the RX18 instead. If you can post pics of your internals of the conversion to RX18 that would be great.

Try looking at this F= B+ , G= Strobe Trigger , H= B- , J= Track Recoil and Sound Trigger , K= B- on that connector .

id try red to B+ and black to Strobe Trigger but dont hold me on that ive not hooked up the rx-18 yet and my stug has the hole harness connector and on my T-34 i put in the DBCRC2 it has a two wire hook up for flash red/black wires match up to T-34 . on the connector its red/black/blue on the left of the connector it go's to flash . Bill at rc command would know better .
thanks

keep posting if you get it im thinking of switching my T-34 to the rx-18 after about 5 min the flash went down on the DBCRC2 and I have the new better flash from RC Command and Phil showed me were to hook up the two sound cards to the RX-18 mite try to replace the recoil in the T-34 with a HL one it would work better . Also watch out if you try to replace the flash in the T-34 its in there good .
Thanks

Dragon,
Here is another way you can do it!
Get a 3 volt battery so you can check the LED first, black may not be ground and red may not be positive! Wire the LED to the gun motor connections, so that when the recoil is running it activates the flash on the muzzle! Use a 68 ohm to 100 ohm resistor!

ok thanks

Try out what Blitz said for correct wire placement and Darkith played with the rx=18 after it came out .

Well after alot of tests no joy[:@][&o]. First found that there is a "type of" switch on the gun, whatever i tried could'nt get it to work, to tapped into the LED wires- the red was total naff so i managed to get it out and replace it with a white one.
Using the CN3-LED stays on, requires a switch of some description.[
]
Tried running wires to the motor, because the motor runs so long more of a torch, than a flash.

looks like i will have to fit my own switch then run to the CN3, will post the results

This is generally done with a micro switch monted on the recoil unit. When recoil is triggered the micro is tripped and the flash is activated. Also the flash on the HL's from the Rx 18 is a high intensity flash unit itself. I'm not sure the board is made to actually supply the voltage need to givre the proper effect. bubbajoexx would know much more about how to go about getting it done with out torching the board.

Fitted the micro switch and ran it to CN3. IT WORKS! Now all set up, just waiting for the lower half to return, (Stug gearboxes being fitted) then get it together
