If I was planning to upgrade the suspension for the Tiger I I'd go with RCCOMMAND here:

Every time I think I'm almost finnished with my Tiger, Bill comes up with something I JUST GOTTA HAVE. You got me again Bill. LOL I will be ordering one of these very soon. I have already upgraded to the metal arms but I really dont like the sloppieness that still is in the suspention. Pretty sood well be able to built Tamiya quality HL tanks for half the price. YEAHHHHH

as your in winnipeg I would reccomend mato toys for your upgrades as there is way too much hassle involved with getting stuff across the border alot of the time

i have those upgrade parts on my tiger and they are great the only other thing i woudl reccomend is the metal plates that go inside the hull you can pick those up on evilbay for about 10 bucks
they replace the little plastic pins and make the suspension rock solid

Just ordered it. Just couldn't wait. I'm also going to add some of Bill's 3:1 gearboxes to it. The set I made with the gear mod I'm not entirerly happy with. It was difficult to get the new holes inline properly without a drill press, which I really need to buy. Does anyone know of a company that makes the early road wheels in metal. I dont want to change my Tiger to a mid or late, but I just hate these stock plastic wheels.

I've been eyeballing the hull myself for the last week or so. It comes with a lot of nice extra metal stuff too and I like the locking feature [or at least its appearance] to get into the tank. It would be nice to be able to get inside without taking the tracks off, etc. You guys be sure to post reviews and lots of pictures when you get them. It looks great, but I'll let you be the guinea pigs!

One of the best thing with this lower hull, is that it is so easy to open it. And the torsionsprings is like the original Tiger. And works very good!! It is no pocket for your battery, so you must open the upper hull to move the on/off switch. This is a pic of the rear opening mecanisme

Thanks for posting Droid. So you don't need to use the screws at all to hold the two halves together? If not, have you noticed any instability or possibly twisting of the hull as there are less points securing the two parts?

When you get a chance, can you post a picture showing the top view with the top removed? I would like to see the layout of the electronics/battery that the plastic board gives you.

Hey Droid, move your switches! Here's an old thread with some excellent ideas. I used Pzrwest's idea because I didn't want to cut the hatches. Very simple, and more convenient than turning the tank over, or in your case, opening the tank to flip the power switch.

Thank you! Yes it was my first post!

I bought this from http://www.rctank.de/product_info.ph...roducts_id=555
It is no instability. In the set you get all you need to mount everything. (screws and so). In the front of the upper hull you mount a metal device. In the rear two pieces. ( see pic.) (I don`t
know the eksact english word for this devises). Then on the left side above the belt, it is a "knob". Just pull it, then the hull is free!!

Thank you! You are too fast for me!

I`ll try to answer. No it is not water tight. BUT it has no slots for the suspension (like original HL) so it will be more easy to water tighten. In the bottom it is some screws, but some of you guys can find a way to make it thight. I see that it is many very clever modelers here at the forum. On this hull it is a bracket to place the switch. So a did so. The kit also came with a color guide how to install everything. (in english). (A guide in color that is)

Well, i recieved my Tiger metal hull from RCCommand today. talk about fast shipping. LOL .When I start the install I'll do a step by step with pics for the forum. I'm waiting on the new gear boxes i ordered from Bill before I start the Mod. I am going to do some of the painting first. That way it will be a neater job. The kit from Bill comes with everyrthing you could need. I have seen this hull on other sites for more money and it is just the hull. They don't have the complete suspention parts included. So if your going to go this route i would suggest getting the kit from Bill at RCCommand.
