Default repainting tger I

well, am starting to mod mysecond tiger tank.. cut the engine covers and started to paint with yellow.. just need to pain the final layer on the turret then brown paint will come next..

just my own idea of colors.. (am not really quit familiar with the colors of the tiger tanks)

hand painted....

Understand chinito, its your tank, but the yellow colour on german tanks , isnt actually yellow. More yellow /tan. Have you access to tamiya acrylic paints, from a toy/hobby shop. look for dark yellow.

Tamiya makes the best dark yellow imo, I used Vallejo acrylics but its a bit too dark. I like I like Tamiya's better.

Great job chinito...again it's your own preference...you can model your paint scheme after a specific era in the history of tigers or you can do whatever you like...i think your tank is one of a kind, which makes it really cool...i've attached some pics of my tiger, it's not fully completed yet, i have to add shades of german grey and detail the engine grills, tow cables, add scratches, etc...but i think when it's done it'll be Wittmann's Tiger S04 January 1944...

this is my 2nd and last tiger tank...
also i MOD the switches again.. put them at the back exhaust. same as what i did to the other tiger tank.
thanks to bill for the metal hull... suspension is way much superior than the plactic hul with metal arms suspension..

Chinito, the paint wear looks outstanding. How did you do the silver?

@ern,
thanks...
that tank has 4 layers of very thin mixed paint.. the 1st layer is the grey (can be mistaken as silver) 2nd layer is the dark olive green, 3rd layer is the maroon and dark yellow paint and last is the 40% tranparency dark yellow+dark olive green pain (consist of 75% water)

while the 2nd layer is half dry i removed the paint on the the edges of the tank and the place where i want the pain wear to take place. then i let it dry then applied the 3rd payer and used hair blower on the place where the wear effect i wanted to be... same method for the last layer..
once dried up, i added some scratch lines...

trial and error though.. hehehehhehe
thank for viewing

thanks... i finally came up with the color... i was rewatching BOND OF BROTHERS DVD. then i saw this tiger tank in green yellow and panther heavily como that took out 6 sherman brit's tanks during their advance together with 101st airborn..
the markings of the tank is not really clear so i dont know what division of tanks was that.
