Do the hinges work? The rest is not great but can be smooth down, if the hinges work then at least you have something to work with! I am glad to see someone makes this, I have not had the b-s to try and cut out my hatch on mine!

What's wrong with the stock hatch? This is a waste of money.
The one on the tank works fine and DOES NOT NEED TO BE CUT OUT!!! [sm=lol.gif] Just unlock it.

I heard those have real thin plastic to even mess with. The WSN is a much better platform to work with, kinda like the HL plastic.
Good luck cutting.

RE: t-34/85 driver hatch
the molded hatch is ok the reson i wanted an opening hatch is to give me a reson to get some figures and have a bit more going on (and possibly move switches to inside the hatch like i have done with my hl tiger) the turet hatches would have been preferable thogh but there not many aftermarket parts for the wsn t-34 which is why i wanted to know if anyone has one ,as if there all like this il leave things be
im pretty good at hatch cutting now after removing hatches from two hl tanks my tank will need re-painting anyway the front plate wasnt true so i had to epoxy a slab of alu to the back and clean it up on the top surface

Daisycutter:
Can you get some pictures of this 'second-hand' T34? It may be we have a new guy on the block thats ripping off HL, and duplicating their hulls. Think about it... if HL did it to Tamiya (no arguments please) then there is the possibility that someone in Asia thinks they can undercut HL.
Where did you get this second-hand tank? eBay? If its a copy, and mis-advertised, you can make a claim to eBay/PayPal for misrepresentation. Please, pics of the detailing and the boards inside may help us tell if its a rip-off.
A few other questions - you bought the hatch from TankZone? Use PayPal? GET A REFUND if you're unhappy.
Go to ImperialModellbau (the REAL maker, along with the crew figs and other T34 parts) and tell them about your experience. They may be willing to help you out.
Has ~ANYONE~ seen other T34's that have had their driver's hatch molded closed? Are you sure it wasn't ~glued~ closed DC-R?
Bill of RCCommand & Murphy of MatoMart, can you chime in here as the NA retailers? Do we have a problem brewing?

RE: t-34/85 driver hatch
ok starting from the top:
it came from ebay i dont have the seller at the moment as i used someone elses account im pretty sure it was a wsn tank it had no outer box and the turret was damaged so i bought it as faulty the turret was easily fixed and im hardly missing the box has wsn/mattro instruction book
inside the hull has trumpeter copyright mark under bord most of the detailing is changed as i began modding this tank pretty much soon as i got it
tankzone are not the best on customer service ive had iffy parts from them before and got no comeback after questions
http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/shop/index2.htm thanks! lots of great stuff here they do a resin visor for the hl tiger wish i saw that before i spent 5 hours modding the stock 1
yea im sure it wasnt glued shut it was molded on hl style i would have noticed if it was working before i went in with the dremel[>:]

RE: t-34/85 driver hatch
I'll swap it for your bent one - the SU-122 hatch is about 2/3 the size of the regular T34 hatch, so I have to cut 'n' shut either way

RE: t-34/85 driver hatch
the metal ones are probably ok the pictures on ImperialModellbau show a perferct one i think tankzone just gives me the crappy parts out of a batch as i have never spent over £20 there
