Default SturmTiger Mountain Assault Tank

I have not seen a many posts on the Sturmtiger so I thought I would do a little to mine! Actually I am going to use it as a test tank to test out different configurations! This tank has been stripped of the Matorro boards and has the Heng long RX-14 with a fan. Speedpro 400 motors from Willy’s custom RC, the TU 3:1 gear reduction tranny from Willy also!

The thing I like about this tank for IR battles is the turret can go almost straight up in the air! Also with all the armor it has to be frontal impervious and last but not least I see it as a high ground assault vehicle!

Here are some pictures of the mods so far, and a video of some testing I did on a steep grade!

It's the Sturm in "Stealth Mode". If you look real hard and up close you can see it's outline.

Chinito,

I can get them and sell them a little cheaper the Mato.. I actually did bring a couple in and the quality was very bad! I now have enough replacment boards and gearboxs that I can fix those but if I get one in that has a bad gun,, not spare parts for that! So if someone really want the model I can get them,, just let me know!

Yes these are the first of the Impact gearbox'z that Willy repaired and worked on,, so thats why I call it Willy's! Not sure if has any more of the impact units or not!

The last picture is just showing the steep grade that the tank climbed!

Nice...I'll bet with the metal tracks it really dug in.

It dug in pretty good,, I could add a bit more weight and I think it will grip even better! Here are a few pictures of the long can 400 motors from Willy's CustomRC I am testing,. The tank is a mess but I have cleaned it up since and I will be changing the configuration a few more times before I am done anyway!

I ran mine for about 90 minutes in wooded terrain on a grade and it ran great. No mods just stock. I checked the range and I was able to get 60 to 80ft.
