i now have another tiger (hl) which i found on ebay which i needed to fufil my need for a replacment turret consider this a feasabiltiy study
will:
a mattro sturmtiger upper hull fit a hl lower?
is it cheaper to buy the mattro upper hull or mod kit or whole tank? i live in the uk and i have never seen a sturmtiger sold in the uk yet

Maybe go for this super looking turret from RC COMMAND?
The tank does need the RX18 board though.

I did the same thing Daisycutter... needed parts and it was cheaper to buy a complete tank and have extra parts, or an extra tank when time/money allowed. Mine is in a rebuilding stage and awaiting Creeping Deaths new gun system. If you are into airsoft the new system reportedly will shoot 400fps! They are still selling their current Tiger turrets for $104 with free world wide shipping. I have one and love it! Laser machine gun to help you aim, recoiling airsoft barrel and a bad ***** tracer system for the glow in the dark Crosman BBs. It uses a small black light that charges the glow BBs and while I haven't checked the range with a tape meausre, I can shoot the house across the street from me!! Well worth the money. I haven't heard what the new turrets are going to cost.

Why is RC Command using the HL IR system? Isn't the Tamiya compatible system required for most clubs, etc. It's a shame that HL went out on their own....
and does the barrel for the Tiger recoil? The description states "corrected gun recoil" but does that just mean that they've corrected the barrel length? Anyone have one yet?

You could turn it into a Beregtiger,,, although they still used most of the turret!

RE: what to do with a turretless tiger?
theres a fiberoptic mg avalible i was wondering if i could attach it i lnstead of the led. or even just a laser
heres a few intersting tigers i found not many pictures of some
heres a static kit of a tiger with a prototype turret that looks a bit like a panther turret
i know there was a prototype tiger with with concrete rings instead of a turret but i cant find any images of that and another prototype without a turret and an experimentl gas engine....

The voltage to the turret machine gun light is 2.4v from what I've read. I replaced my other Tigers with a 3v laser and it works fine [like Creeping Death does] and eliminated the warning light. I guess you could have both up there if you wanted, but if you are installing the fiber option gun wouldn't you want it connected so that it fires with the machine gun button on your transmitter? If you replace the warning light it will only light up when you are getting ready to fire the main gun, and there will be no machine gun sound. Just my thoughts...

Hi
Go to Poundland and get one of them laser line spirit levels, strip it down and use the laser, that is what i have done.
The laser just slots in the hole where the LED was.

Starskey - you can get them on eBay for about $6 USD with free shipping

Snowtank - you will not regret the purchase! I love the recoiling barrel. Walmart sells the Crosman Glow in the Dark .12g BBs down here for like $6/2000- I paid twice as much for them on eBay. You have to get them for night shooting! The only problem I've ever had is the recoil sticking occasionally, but nothing a shot of silicone spray can't resolve. Enjoy!!
