My next sratchbuild is a Panzer 38(t) - Please Help
Hi everyone,
I am getting ever so close to finishing my Crusader 3 build(pictures coming soon - Promise!) And I have been gathering materials and research for my next build - a 1/16th rc Panzer 38(t).
I have worked out how to build the idlers, suspension and even have a source for tracks - but Ineed a source for the actual wheels. It's really the only thing that is holding me up.
I am unable to mill my own(don't have the skills or the tools). One option is to find an old Cromwell Models Hetzer, and use those wheels - but they are resin. And that is an expensive kit to bash up.
Does anyone have a source for the wheels?Or does anyone have the tools to build a master that I could then cast (I'd probably use Alumilite resin)?
Any help would really be appreciated. This tank is something of a grail for me, ever since I saw this:

Thanks all,

Ok now we're talking I've wanted to do A 38t's running gear for quite a while my problem is finding a good track master. Do you have a source for a master or even better a complete set of tracks? I ahve a small machine shop and can probably work up a set of wheels for masters. drop me a line if you want to try to work together on this .

The 38t wheels are rather similar to the first wheel of the Panther, even in size (I was checking the pictures taken at Munster).
I suggest you compare the wheel size (I dont' have their dimensions).

The profile of the wheels is a little different, but I think I could live with it to put one of these on the build table!
Thanks again - the board rocks!
