RE: The new HL panther
Try 6 to 8 months time , so dont hold your breath just yet !! Lest you go blue in the face . I'm a little dissapointed at the time frame but very happy its confirmed as a happening thing as its on my must have list, for whenever it comes out !!!

Given that the world's economy had gone down the toilet, I'm personally glad that the pace has slowed a little...
Many of the new releases would do better coming out next year when we all have a bit more spare cash, I hope that HL et al don't run out of funding trying to introduce product that nobody can afford to buy in a recession - tooling is expensive and kills a lot of companies before they manage to get the product out in sufficient volume to pay for it!
And before you ask - I work in the auto industry in Detroit, so I know a thing or 2 about suppliers over-extending on new tooling and then suffering a sudden down turn... I hope that HL etc, take their time to get things right and introduce their products at the right time - or else we will all lose out in the long run when they go bust []
And before all of you HL haters chime in, I was including Tamiya in this assesment of where the market is at - They must be hurting as well.

Didn't they just release the KV-1? Twice a year has been the normal order of things the last couple of years. Look for it around the holidays IMO.

RE: The new HL panther
I agree totally. If they come that way. I'll have a paint job ready from the get go. But, at least it has the proper glasis shield. I'll buy one even though I have an old H and L in rebuild now.

Bah, repainting the HL's is part of the fun!
In fact its probably all of the fun, as wrestling the turret back together (after fitting the IR system)without getting the grease from the airsoft motor all over your newly painted model is a real pain !!!!
