Tanks kept busy
Well last weekend and this weekend my Tanks have been quite busy. Last weekend I had 4 of my Tanks out. Ran them hard and mostly they held up. The Stug 3 ran great and battled against the Bulldog IR style. The Bulldog was controlled by a young lad who was quite thrilled with the Tanks. He kicked my butt pretty good. The Stug lost it's track everytime it went off road. After being humiliated one time too many, the Pershing made a 60ft run on top of a ridge barely wide enough for the tank and 6 ft high. Had nearly went over the ridge but recovred many times. No issues with the Pershing. The Bulldog did the same route with no issues. This went on for hours. By night fall I ran the Tiger1 with the new Creeping Death Turret and tried out the Laser Coaxial. The kids went nuts chasing the beam along the grass. The Airsoft fired well however the Recoil mechanism kept jamming. The outer gun barrell unsleeved itself. When I fired the airsoft the gun fired well but the entire barrel ejected itself from the recoil mechanism. I could put it back on but it would not recoil. I can see the inner brass sleeve that recoils moving in and out. It seems to be off center. I wonder if that is what is pulling itself free from the barrel? The headlghts were not working either so I ran the Tank in the dark.. I later ran the Jagpanther. The people at the fire pits were startled when 8ft above thier head, at the edge of the cliff the Jag's flash muzzell engaged while firing. The Jag ran well but the Front sprockett on the left side unscrewed itself completly off the Axle. Front suspension sucks on this Tank. Other than that we got great pics. Will post them soon.
This past weekend I took 5 tanks out. The Tiger1, Panz4, Sturmtiger, Jagpanther,WalkerBulldog.. Ran them long and hard through gravel and deep grass inclines. The Jag lost another Sprocket same side front left. The recoil stopped working adn the flash doesn't work. The Sturmtiger threw a track but no problem there. The firing mechanism was having issues spitting out 2 bbs that just rolled out and firning a third. It ran quite well though. The smoker stopped working. The Tiger one ran well but still the recoil was failing to work. The gun could still spit out rounds hard. The Turret was jamming up when training. The cannon stopped working later on. The Panzer 4 ran the best along with the Bulldog. The smoker on the Tiger1 worked great. I am still not happy about the Creeping Turret. I will have to take it off and find out what happened there. I did meet a guy who followed my Jag around and had to know about it. He saw the Tiger1 and well we talked about the German ACE Tank Commander. I gave him info on that.
To add insult to injury..it was dark and a guy shouted..Hey look... an RC CAR.. that's crazy man! He must have seen the rear taillights on the Bulldog. I fired the MG and theh he shouts.." Look man it's an RC POLICE CAR! sigh.....Don't know how many drinks he had or what he was smoking. But to be fair it was pitch black outside save for the fire pits to llluminate the area.
Well a few repairs to do and photos to post of the excursions. Hope I can get my Creeping Turret working. I really like that .

Shoot an email to Creeping Death about the barrel problem. I've only had to contact them once about the recoil sticking and their support was top notch. They are a great bunch of guys who really seem to like their tanks, not just someone that is putting out a product.

RE: Tanks kept busy
Folks with a bunch of tanks should have a Belton Cooper driving an M31 TRV to tow broken tanks back to a rear area for repairs while the others keep battling on!
