a few things that despite my large amount of info on this tank i still dont know
does anyone know how to go about fabricating the two rings on this part of the turret?
anyone know what an opened pistol port looks like? i would say a plug on a chain like the t-34 but i could be wrong
lastly anyone have any more info on this vehicle i only have this image i may make this kv a captured vehoicle for the simple reson this has more interesting camo than the monotany of soviet green

Don't know if this will help but here's a link to a great KV-1 "Walkaround" on Prime Portal:
http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/dmitry_kiyatkin/kv-1/
And here's at least one example of Soviet "camo":

The KV pistol ports used a plug on a chain. I don't understand what you mean by fabricating the two rings on the turret? Your model looks like it is an HL with the supplemental armor removed from the turret. The area you have circled looks mostly normal to me for that early welded turret.
In rarer cases the Soviets apparently actually did use camo paint schemes. I don't know much about the Soviet camo, I have to research it more. For solid colors, in addition to the standard green, they used an ochre (yellow-brown-green) color too.
That walkaround link killick posted is of a later model cast turret KV-1.

actully ive sort of answered my own question here as this is the first good photo i have found of a wealded turret kv
the pistol port i have pics of of now but from a kv-2 i trust there the same type its a round bar with a mushroom at the end with a chain in a straight(not tapered at lest from the outside) hole
